Old Holland was created in 1664 by numerous Old Dutch great painters. Even today, they still create the colours using their recipes but with the latest technology which refine and improve their traditional production process.

Their pigments are a one-of-a-kind blend of the greatest traditional colours and pigments. Traditional pigments that were not lightfast or were no longer accessible on the market were replaced with newly developed, lightfast substitutes.

Old Holland’s oil paints have a unique range of 168 innovative colours. The colours were created with the highest possible pigment concentration which result fantastic colour strength. Cold-pressed extra virgin linseed oil is the sole medium that is used to create these oil paintings to achieve optimal oxidisation (drying). This improves brushstroke dispersion and durability. These properties combine to produce an oil paint of unparalleled excellence.
