What is the "fat over lean" rule?

This principle dictates that layers with more oil (fat) should be applied over layers with less oil (lean) to prevent the top layer from cracking as the bottom dries.

How does linseed oil affect the colour?

Can I mix different brands of mediums?

Generally, yes, as long as they are chemically compatible (e.g., staying within the oil family or the acrylic family).

What medium should I use for thick, impasto textures?

Look for a "gel" or "paste" medium. These add bulk to the paint without thinning the colour, allowing you to create 3D peaks and ridges.

What is your returns policy?

You can return items to us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund, subject to them being in good condition and in their original packaging. This will have to be done at your own expense and using your chosen carrier.
