Cotton Canvas FAQs

Is the cotton canvas pre-primed for both oil and acrylic?

Yes, our cotton canvas range is primed with high-quality gesso, making it suitable for acrylics, oils, and mixed media.

Will the canvas sag over time?

Our canvases are professionally tensioned on heavy-duty stretcher bars. However, if environmental changes cause slight loosening, each canvas includes wooden keys to easily re-tighten the surface.

What weight of cotton do you use?

We prioritise heavyweight cotton duck fabric to ensure it can withstand vigorous painting techniques and heavy applications of medium without tearing or losing shape.

What is the benefit of cotton over synthetic blends?

Natural cotton has a superior give and bounce, allowing it to expand and contract with environmental changes without losing its shape.

What is your returns policy?

You can return items to us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund, subject to them being in good condition and in their original packaging. This will have to be done at your own expense and using your chosen carrier.

If your order contains faulty or damaged items, please email sales@loxleyarts.co.uk, and our team will assist you. Please email us clear photos of your faulty/damaged item within 3-5 days of receiving your order.

Do you sell eco-friendly art supplies?

Yes! At Loxley Arts, we are committed to protecting our environment through sustainable manufacturing practices such as using ethically sourced, FCS-accredited wood and acid-free products.
