National Drawing Day
On Monday 16th May 2022, we celebrate drawing day. This day celebrates the artist within each of us and encourages it to come out, and develop throughout the years to come!

History behind Drawing Day
Drawing Day started back in 2008, in order to remember the love we have for making and admiring different types of drawings. Whether, your drawings are amazing to begin with, or whether you think you need more practice it is important to let the artist within come out and express yourself. This day is to remind us that everything within us is worthy to share with the world around us. It also reminds us to appreciated and be more aware of the talented illustrators and artists that need support and encouragement.
Drawing is also very therapeutic and allows us to disconnect from stress, express our inner self and thoughts and even meditate. Just remember, a picture speaks a thousand words and drawings can be used to express your voice.
“I sometimes think there is nothing so delightful as drawing.” Vincent van Gogh
